Steel & Paper · The duty

Rising energy costs meet the harshest atmospheres on Earth.

Pulp and paper mill with stacks releasing steam

Demanding energy needs and their rising costs constitute a major challenge to the steel and paper industries. Designed to provide high performances by minimizing power consumption, our fans cool hundreds of critical and continuous processes worldwide. The HD series operates in very harsh environments and resists the corrosion and erosion phenomena typical of steelworks, foundries and pulp & paper plants — keeping primary cooling online and the production line moving.

Energy that never stops

Continuous-process steel, paper and food plants run cooling 8,760 hours a year. Every percent of fan efficiency directly cuts megawatt-hours and a six-figure power bill.

Heat, dust and acid air

Sinter plants, blast furnaces and recovery boilers expose fans to high temperatures, abrasive particulate and aggressive chemistry. Materials and coatings have to match.

Reliability is production

An unscheduled cooler shutdown stops the entire line. Robust hubs, corrosion-resistant airfoils and field-replaceable blades keep mills and plants producing.

Food & HVAC · The duty

A changing climate, a denser city, a quieter machine.

Rooftop HVAC chillers and cooling fans on an urban building

Food processing and HVAC industries are challenged by climate change, the increase of population and concentration in urban areas. Our fans are successfully installed and operating in hundreds of factory-assembled cooling devices, providing the highest levels of efficiency. Our patented, field-tested low-noise STEALTHFANS fan is the right answer to mitigate the effects of noise and vibration in very sensitive installations like hospitals, schools and residential communities.

Climate-driven cooling demand

Rising ambient temperatures and longer cooling seasons push factory-assembled chillers and rooftop units harder every year. Our fans hold their efficiency curve at peak summer duty.

Density of urban installations

Equipment now sits on hospital roofs, school courtyards and apartment blocks. Compact, lightweight fans retrofit into existing fan rings without structural reinforcement.

Noise where people live

Patient wards, classrooms and residential balconies demand strict acoustic envelopes. STEALTHFANS deliver low sound power without trading away airflow or efficiency.

The solution · HD · SML · stealthfansTM

Three fan platforms for every industrial cooling duty.

From primary cooling towers and ACHE banks in corrosive, high-temperature service, to package chillers and rooftop units in noise-sensitive urban communities — each series answers a precise operating profile.

HD Series axial fan fan
HD Series
Heavy-duty · large-diameter primary cooling

HD SeriesCooling towers, ACHE banks & process coolers

The HD Series is engineered for the brutal duty of steelworks and paper mills: large cooling towers, air-cooled heat exchangers and primary process coolers running in atmospheres loaded with iron oxides, sulphur compounds and pulping chemistry. Hot dip galvanized hub disc, FRP airfoils with stainless steel leading-edge protection and operation from −45 °C to +80 °C let the same fan serve a tropical mill or a Nordic plant.

  • Built for corrosive & erosive atmospheres
  • FRP airfoils · stainless steel leading-edge armor
  • Hot dip galvanized hub · field-replaceable blades

Hospitals, schools, communities — stealthfansTM answers.

The stealthfansTM series is the fruit of a two-year AFI research program and represents the most advanced product in the field of very low-noise axial fans for HVAC and food-industry cooling. It is the only series that combines low noise with high efficiency, low weight, reduced axial space requirement and a cost comparable to a regular fan — letting OEMs offer their factory-assembled equipment with a very low-noise option as standard, not premium.

01
High efficiency

Better than the average regular-noise fan — power consumption stays low even when operating in low-noise mode on rooftop chillers and HVAC units.

02
Low weight

Lighter than a standard axial fan of equal duty, reducing structural load on hospital, school and residential rooftop installations.

03
Compact axial space

Reduced axial footprint allows STEALTHFANS to be retrofitted into existing factory-assembled equipment with minimal modification.

04
Reasonable cost

Comparable in cost to a regular-noise fan — letting OEMs offer low-noise as the standard option, not a premium upgrade.
