Cooling the processes
that deliver energy to the world.
From large Combined Cycle power plants to small geothermal Organic Rankine Cycle generators — AFI fans on Air Cooled Condensers and Cooling Towers deliver the reliability, performance and efficiency the energy transition demands.
A grid that never stops asking for more.

In the current energy transition scenario, conventional power stations are called to respond to the grid in minutes — and to absorb continuous start-and-stop cycles that legacy fans were never designed for. Our D, HD and SML series answer the most challenging demands in mechanical stress and low power consumption, keeping condenser performance stable from the first ramp-up to the last shutdown.
Modern grids demand power plants that ramp up and down constantly. Our fans are engineered to absorb mechanical stress without fatigue, cycle after cycle.
Every kilowatt spent on cooling is a kilowatt not dispatched. High-efficiency aerodynamics translate directly into more saleable megawatts.
From large ACCs on combined cycles to compact ORC condensers, stable airflow protects condenser back-pressure and overall plant heat rate.
Three fan platforms, every cooling duty in the plant.
From the ACC cells of a 800 MW combined cycle to the compact condenser of a geothermal ORC unit, each diameter range answers a specific operating envelope.

D Series — Large Combined Cycle ACCs & field-erected cooling towers
When the duty point sits on a large Combined Cycle Air Cooled Condenser or a field-erected cooling tower, the D Series is the workhorse. Five blade profiles let our engineers tune each installation toward maximum efficiency or minimum noise — critical for plants located near urban or environmentally sensitive areas. Hot dip galvanized hub disc, FRP or aluminum airfoils with stainless steel leading-edge armor for wet duty, and operation from −45 °C to +80 °C make it suited for every climate where base-load power is generated.
- 5 blade profiles · clockwise & counterclockwise
- Adjustable pitch, conical bushing — fastest assembly on the market
- Corrosion-protected materials for wet cooling tower duty

HD Series — Mid-size ACHEs, cooling towers & balance-of-plant cooling
The HD Series covers the broad mid-range of cooling duties found across thermal islands and renewable plants — auxiliary cooling towers, ACHEs on lube-oil and generator-cooling skids, and condenser cells on smaller power blocks. Four blade profiles, aluminum or electro-galvanized hub options and FRP airfoils with stainless steel leading-edge protection deliver decades of service in continuous operation, with the same fast-assembly conical bushing as the D Series.
- 4 blade profiles tuned for efficiency or low noise
- Aluminum or electro-galvanized hub options
- Stainless leading-edge protection on FRP blades

SML Series — Geothermal ORC, package cooling towers & compact ACHEs
Small geothermal Organic Rankine Cycle generators, distributed renewable assets and package cooling towers all share one constraint: limited footprint, no tolerance for downtime. The SML Series brings the same aerodynamic discipline of our larger fans to compact diameters — aluminum hub, UV-resistant antistatic FRP or aluminum airfoils, and adjustable-pitch blades that can be re-tuned in the field as plant duty evolves.
- Compact diameters from 3′ to 12′
- UV-resistant antistatic FRP airfoils
- Field-adjustable pitch for evolving duty points
